Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan
HUD requires that each property have an Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan (AFHMP). This plan must be updated every five years and approved by HUD. The purpose of this plan is to make sure that the property is marketing to those who are least likely to apply to live in your complex. The process of updating your plan involves getting census data, statistics from the property's software as to the current population, and more. Once the plan is created, it is sent to the property for signatures and to be mailed to HUD for approval.
